Makenna-3.5 years

Makenna is now 3 and a half years old and just started Three-school this past week! She is loving it, she goes 2 mornings a week for 2.5 hours!
At her 3 year appt she weighed 33lbs 4oz(75th percentile) and was 38.5" tall(3 feet 2.5 in) (75th perecentile).
Back in January, we were snowed in for a few days so I took the opportunity to really work on potty training. Before this she would scream and cry when we had her sit on the potty so we just knew she wasn't ready. This time around she did so well with only a couple accidents! She had pull-ups for naps and nighttime, then a couple months later we told her no more pull-ups because in her mind if she had  a pull-up on it was ok to poop and pee in it so we eliminated that and that did the trick!(Writing most of this so I remember :) )
Thumbs up for going on the potty! Ariel was her special treat for being potty-trained along with a Magic Milk and Muffin date with Grandma!

 3 year Check-Up
Birthday Girl- We took her to see Frozen and then to the Aquatic Center for some swimming with her cousins!

Birthday Party Fun!

We put Makenna in Motor Movement this spring and she loved it!

Had her first dentist appt in February and it did not go well! She maybe had 3 teeth cleaned and thats all we could get! We went back 6 months later and it went MUCH better! She did great!

Makenna, you have been such a joy to Mommy and Daddy! We love your imagination and how you love Peyton (most days)! You love your cousins(especially Jovie right now!) You are really into singing right now and your favorite song is Thrive by Casting Crowns which mommy loves!

Makenna-2.5 years

Makenna turned 2 1/2 on August 8! She has changed so much and I love seeing her imagination grow! She amazes us every day with what she remembers! She knows her abc, numbers, colors and shapes!  She is such a great big sister to Peyton. She is constantly saying “you okay honey?” We are getting into the terrible twos but thankfully we have more good days than bad! She is a very determined girl!

She had her well child visit on July 31. She weighed 30 lbs 4 oz(70th percentile) and is 37” tall(82nd pecentile) She did great, didn’t have shots but she loved being able to bring her doc mcstuffins kit along!

Aunt Katie gave her her very first official haircut! She did great! She had a hard time not moving her head thoughSmile

She currently loves watching Doc McStuffins, Paw Patrol, Bubble Guppies and Strawberry Shortcake!

No pacis for this girl anymore! She did so well with the transition we were shocked! It started as a punishment one night and we didn’t look back!(Besides for camping) She was 28 months(so I remember)

We put her in swimming lessons in April and she did not love it! So we were shocked this summer when she was such a water rat at the cottage!

She is in size 3 diapers and size 4 at night.

Wears 6-12 month clothes and some 12-18.

She has 8 teeth.

She loves loves loves to eat(which is an understatement)! She barely chews!

Still takes 2 naps

She loves TV and waves her hands all around when Boz comes on!

11 Months-Peyton

-weighs 19lbs 12 oz(according to our baby scale at home)

-slowly getting out of her 6 month clothes and is mainly in 6-12 month clothes!

-crawling around everywhere and getting into things!

-still has only 2 teeth

-started more table foods,(turkey slices, banana, cheese, pasta and bread are some of your favorites!  You aren’t very satisfied with baby food anymore!

-A big daddy’s girl and love to play with her sister! It’s so fun to see them play together!!

-we got her ears pierced a couple weeks ago and she did awesome! Just a few tears and then she was all smiles! (We waited quite a bit longer to get hers done than Makenna’s due to her many ear infections.)

-we have another ENT appt coming up in August and we are hoping we are set free! We are so thankful the ear infections seemed to clear up after the weather started to warm up!

She fell asleep in the pool at Hungry Horse Campground while visiting Katie and the boys! She slept for over a half hour, I had to wake her up to head home!

We love you sweet girl! You are a determined little girl and we can already tell that we will get lots of laughs from your silliness!

Florida 2013

We went to Florida in May for a convention Orlando. We had a great time and the girls did awesome on the plane! It was so nice that my parents were along tooSmile

The guys pretty much had meetings all day, so my Mom and the girls and I would usually go shopping or sit by the pool(when it wasn’t cloudy/rainy!) We were usually able to have breakfast, lunch and dinner with them which was so nice!!

We stayed at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes and it was perfect! It had a kiddie pool, lazy river, and playground!
